Why should you attend?
In the words of a student at JA Business Week last year: "After JA Business Week, I am a lot more engaged and better prepared to enter the business world. I learned about wealth management, how to apply for scholarships, and about how to be an entrepreneur. JA Business Week has brightened the outlook of my future. I will take home the most important thing; how to be a successful and respected business woman."
Who can attend?
JA Business Week is open to current high school students in Colorado and Wyoming who will have completed at least one year of high school by June 2018. Graduating seniors are welcome!
There are no academic requirements for participating in JA Business Week. However, all students must come with an eagerness to learn and a willingness to work hard with their company!
Can I request a specific roommate?
Yes! You will be assigned a roommate once you arrive on campus. If you would like to room with someone specific, you must arrive with that person! Once you check into the dorms you will not be allowed to switch roommates, so you must check in with the person you plan on rooming with. Please note that there are two students per room.
Do I have to be at JA Business Week the entire week?
Yes! Due to the insurance policy and to ensure all students have a positive experience at JA Business Week, we require students to stay on campus Sunday through Friday. Your full attendance is necessary for the success of your team’s project!

The Code of Ethics will be posted in March. All students agree to this code when they register for JA Business Week.
Why do some students work on different projects?
JA Business Week has different schedules based on student experience and age. Most first-year students participate in the same challenge.

Company Advisors are industry professionals who pass background checks, undergo JA Business Week training, and mentor roughly ten students. Resident Advisors are paid adults with college RA experience and/or professional management experience.
