Who should attend JA Business week?
JA Business Week is open to current high school students in Colorado and Wyoming who will have completed at least one year of high school by June 2019. Graduating seniors are welcome!
There are no academic requirements for participating in JA Business Week. However, all students must come with an eagerness to learn and a willingness to work hard with their company.
Whether you are interested in finance, want to start your own fashion line, have an idea for an app, see yourself managing teams of people someday, or want to increase your chances of successfully landing a job interview, JA Business Week is right for you.
Can I request a specific roommate?
Yes! You will be assigned a roommate once you arrive on campus. If you would like to room with someone specific, you must arrive with that person. Once you check into the dorms you will not be allowed to switch roommates. Please note that there are two students per room.
Do I have to stay at JA Business Week the entire week?
Due to the insurance policy and to ensure all students have a positive experience at JA Business Week, we require students to stay on campus Sunday through Friday. Your full attendance is necessary for the success of your team’s project!
Are the rules really strict?
JA Business Week is similar to a professional conference or business trip. We recognize that you are a leader, and we also value your safety. That said, JA has very high standards of participating students.
The Code of Ethics will be posted in March. All students agree to this code upon registration
Why do some students work on different projects?
JA Business Week has different schedules based on student experience and age. Most first-year students participate in the same challenge.
